A proud Okie, I grew up on the flat plains of Western Oklahoma where you can see for miles and the sunsets are some of the most breathtaking you can find. It’s here, from the front seat of my dad’s feed truck my passion for the agriculture industry began.

Today, that passion is as big as ever. I have worked as a livestock photographer for almost 10 years traveling around the country capturing amazing moments for exhibitors and their families. One of my biggest joys is learning about all of the extraordinary people who make up the western and livestock industries and I feel truly honored to help tell their stories!

It ain’t dying I’m talking about, it’s living. I doubt it matters where you die,

but it matters where you live.”

- Augustus McCrae

Growing up Augustus McCrae and Woodrow Call were household names. I have fond memories of our family gathered around the TV to watch my dad’s all time favorite movie. Like others, we were captivated by the dynamic duo and their dedication to each other and the cowboy way of life.

Some of my favorite words ever spoke were as Gus and Woodrow were overlooking the herd in one of their many conversations and Gus turns to Woodrow and mutters the words “It ain’t dying I’m talking about, it’s living. I doubt it matters where you die, but it matters where you live.”

Fast forward a couple year and I find myself reading Greenlight by Matthew McConhaey and that little word pops back up with just a little different spelling, LIVIN. McConhaey goes on to claim that he dropped the G from the word a long time ago as the spelling, LIVIN is a verb and something we should always actively be doing.

One word, five letters, endless meaning. This one word is something that has stuck with me ever since (quite literally, I had it tattooed on my ankle for my 25th birthday.) The biggest meaning behind the word to me is to always keep pushing myself to be my best, never settle and never be afraid to keep on LIVIN.
